Glad you like this video too! She's amazing. I saw her in my home town last year, she was on with JoJo so it was pretty much like seeing Hijokaidan live. After them I saw Kan Mikami, who is another illusive artist and extraordinary. The night was ended by an exquisite performance by Diamanda Galas! I am not lying, that was all in one day! Can you believe it?!

wowie zowie, shes great...thanks for introducing her to us on your site, what a day you had, seeing so much and in one day, you must have been buzzzing! I am now looking up these other gems you keep offering up...thank you, I've thought allot about your Heidegger post today, I posted a comment on it, I'm really coming from a practitioners place (playground) so I hope I did not offend...what would I know. I'm still trying to sort so much out...i guess the closed loops of the theory frames annoy me at times, make me feel theres not much room and i know there actually is ...'more than we are all thinking'. Thats a famous quote from my partners grandfather

Yeah, it was quite a night. No, didn't offend at all, thought your comment was great and right on the mark! Just because your from a practitioners background doesn't mean you can't get it, in fact it can work to your advantage.

With regards the theory, I guess it's only as closed as you make it. There are some great theories out there which if taken to literally are too restrictive but approach them with a bit of felixibility and they really open up. It's just a case of sharing and mixing ideas. I guess that's what I am doing on my blog. One just has to be willing to fall flat on your face.

yes i agree that opening of theories and disciplines is a rich way to make the new...getting bit fed up with critical theory in terms of practice, am finding crossing frames between, visual art, text/poetry, l=a=n=g=a=u=g=e etc, sound and theory is proving richer for me...still very interested in a collaboration one day though, so don't forget, maybe when you get quieter...are you on the writing up stage?? I'm sorry i cant remember. what do you think of my two latest film pieces? go well.

Yeah, would love to collaborate with you anytime! Your work is very exciting and would love to be a part of it in some way. Would be happy to try whatever you have in mind anytime soon, but I may only be able to do certain things due to work commitments. I am not quite at the stage of typing up but I have done a lot of research. In many ways though lots of it is already typed, as I am drawing together lots of ideas from my studies and essays from last year. So I won't be typing for a while yet but I have done a lot of the work. My thesis is due on the last day of August. So any ideas you have for collaborations let me know and I will see if I could give you the time you deserve.

As far as the videos I think they are great, I was just about to leave a comment on them. I particularly like 'how are you'! I saw that you mentioned you were thinking of projecting them on a huge screen, I think that would be very effective. Maybe consider, if you were to ever do an installation with them, projecting a bunch of them all at the same time. I think a room full of these images and sounds would be a great experience and quite disorientating. Just a thought though. Great work!

'mr ibitsu', thats a brilliant idea...! I'll credit you on the catalogue...(there you go, our first collaboration)

I'm off to bed to dream of it and plot further collaborative projects- across the ocean.

That's very kind of you! Our first collaboration, that's great! Although I feel you give me too much credit.

Anyway, look forward to more of your work and any chance of working on some ideas. I have a few myself and will try and email soon when I have them more formed.
